For our team at High Schools Society, these and many more remarks and messages we receive from friends and the folks who join our online communities, mean so much to us, and we treat it with all consideration. Since 2015 the goal of our company changed from just being a social media page to a limited liability company(LLC.), but does that mean we have abandoned our mission of establishing a strong digital platform where students connect?
Certainly not! In fact we are just beginning. Article 2.1 of our company constitution lists the following statement as the primary purpose of the organisation: “To establish a virtual student community and platform for networking and connecting through idea sharing and community service to develop student capabilities”.
And as our December 13, 2017 story online suggests; the aim of High Schools Society is to create a huge brand for quality educational networking and innovations through the establishment of a student community through which high school students can interact with each other on all areas of student life. It is also to create a platform for all students to be enriched with rich quality educational content. Many teenagers join clubs that revolve around their career interest. High Schools Society thus also focus on specific career fields and help students understand them better.
One of our beliefs here at HSS is that each student should be useful to its community, in various ways possible, whether by being a positive role model, volunteering, excelling at school, or even reaching out. Accomplishing that requires that each student develops an earnest interest in what exists around him, something High Schools Society seeks to promote through establishing a platform for. Through our various upcoming initiatives, our various teams at High School Magazine and Careers will see to it that each willing students who wants to be a positive influence to his/her community is able to do so.
And we are not leaving the digital aspect out. We have no plans of one day saying goodbye to the screen, as more and more young people, particularly students are spending more time on phone and computer, as well as other devices. Our Media teams are poised more than ever to use this very effective medium to promote the vision. Our goal is not to create a platform for just fun, but to establish one that will impact the lives of students.
If you are on any of our platforms, then you can be confident we take active interest in you. Our aim is to cooperate with school principals and teachers to provide high school students with invaluable experience in living and working together and to prepare them for useful citizenship. Our members develop initiative and leadership skills by serving their schools and communities, just like Key Club International.
We urge you to take full advantage of our various tools each passing day!
